Mike Swanson – Executive Vice President

As the Executive Vice President at JMS, Mike brings over 35 years of industry experience and knowledge to the JMS team.  His role is to manage all operations including estimating, purchasing, drafting, construction, and service/warranty.  He has built over 11,000 homes throughout his career.  Mike’s hobbies outside of work include golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and twin 14 year old kids.

 

Tim Brown – Director of Finance

As Director of Finance, Tim oversees all of the financial and accounting functions for the JMS Family of companies, including home building, land development and commercial real estate investments.  Tim brings over 20 years of real estate finance and construction related experience to the JMS team.  Tim’s previous experience includes roles with real estate private equity firms, commercial banks, home building construction, and residential land development companies.

 

Tom Baktriges – Director of Land Development

Tom Bakritges is the Director of Land Development here at JMS and has just passed his one year mark with the company.  His role is to direct and coordinate both the purchase and entitlements of land for development.  Tom comes to JMS with plenty of experience, having worked for such companies as K. Hovnanian Homes, Annabelle Homes, D.R. Horton, as well as the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.  Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time being with his wife and his 3 kids, Alex, Christian, and Malena.

 

Eric Doty – Vice President of Purchasing

Eric Doty is the Vice President of Purchasing here at JMS, and has worked for the company for over 10 years.  Eric’s role at JMS is to bid out all JMS projects as well as work directly with vendors to purchase construction materials.  His previous experience prior to joining the JMS team was working in multifamily construction.  Outside of work, he enjoys tending to his vineyard and making his own wine, as well and spending time with his family.  Eric lives in the South Metro and is married with  3 teenage daughters.

 

Katie Collins – Director of Selections and Design

Katie Collins is the Director of Selections and Design at JMS, and has been with the company for a little over half a year.  Her role within the company is to help clients with the design and selection process of their homes.  She has worked within the construction industry for the past 10 years exploring different parts of the industry.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, being at the cabin, and shopping.  Katie is married with 3 step daughters and 2 dogs.

 

Dan Taney – Sales/Marketing Manager

Dan Taney is the Sales & Marketing Manager here at JMS, and comes to the company with many years of experience in the industry such as land development, marketing, and the sales aspects.  Dan’s role within the company as head of the Sales/Marketing Department is to provide guidance to the JMS Sales team and delivers  insight into the new construction market.  Dan also helps to develop strategic tactics for marketing the JMS brand.  In his time away from work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time at the cabin being with his family.

 

Darleen Turcotte – Human Resource Director/Executive Coordinator

Darleen has been with JMS for over 12 years, and joined the team with many years experience within Human Resource Management and Executive Administration.  Her role here at JMS is to develop policies and procedures as well as coordinates all administrative functions including payroll processing.  Along with that, Darleen manages the office which includes arranging meetings, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a professional office environment.  In her time outside of work Darleen enjoys spending time with her husband and their five rescue dogs.
